Dr eng. Kasia Sterriker is an environmental artist, biophilic designer, landscape architect and environmental advocate known for her Living Environmental Sculptures based by bonsai art.

Her work transcends traditional forms, showcasing the dynamic relationship between nature and humanity whilst promoting understanding of survival, growth, and regeneration. Symbolizing perseverance amid adversity, her sculptures inspire introspection and encourage viewers to reflect on their roles as custodians of the environment.

Kasia's passion for art and science was nurtured in her childhood, influenced by her father, a Bonsai Master. Through her art, she highlights the transformative power of creativity and the importance of preserving the beauty of the natural world for future generations.

Beyond Bonsai

The Ghaf Tree, known as the Guardians of the Desert, symbolizes survival and adaptability. Its bonsai representation highlights its sturdy form, providing essential shade and sustenance in harsh desert conditions. Revered in Arabian culture, the Ghaf Tree has been a vital resource for communities for millennia, nourishing livestock and serving as a habitat for diverse wildlife.

The Olive Tree symbolizes resilience, heritage, peace, and endurance, with a rich history rooted in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures. Its gnarled trunk and twisting branches represent longevity and strength, showcasing the tree's ability to withstand countless storms. Each leaf and branch tells a story of cultivation, reflecting generations of care and reliance on its fruit and oil for sustenance.
